Hi, my name is Donna Kates and I’ve been waiting to hear back from you about my donation. Please let me know you received it. If I don’t hear from you, I will contact Paypal about a reversal on the payment I made to you on June 24, 2011. Thank you and hope to hear from you soon.

Mrs. Wolfe is someone I met in a rare circumstance, but I believe many of us are meet for a reason. A reason we may have to turn into the reason why we are here for…to complete each other efforts. Uh I forget to present myself, I was your driver last Tuesday. I mean to tell readers, more often in life a pepper tree is forced to produce apples, because most of us are so fake. Mrs. Wolfe is a true apple who came from an apple tree. She is such a wonderful person who I drove to NJ Burlington; since her first word to me “I am sorry if I didn’t speak to you yet” , as she was eating a sandwich. Hearing so, in my mind I said, why does she care to even talk to me? Afterall I am just a driver. Many passengers just get in my car, and seat like they are angels forbidden to speak with the sons of Adam. Since last night, after watching the news of Steve Job dies, I conclude that we all must live after dying. There is nothing wrong for a creator to live through its creations, but you Mrs Wolfe, and to others who support Merlin’s Kids foundation will always live through out of good deeds “saving animals and helping autism kids to cope with their situations”. Thanks for talking to me with your heart!

first a driver, and now a friend.
Gerald, it was my pleasure to meet YOU! I’m so happy for the joy of your upcoming marriage to your lovely lady after your horribly tough year. Those whom you have driven who did not speak to you because they thought they were somehow “superior” to you, didn’t even deserve to be in your presence. You are one of the most perceptive, kind, and special people I have ever met, and I am a better person for having met YOU! You are incredibly gifted and I hope that you will be able to be a part of Merlin’s KIDS and help children and animals with your remarkable abilities. You are so kind to have taken the time to write me this beautiful sentiment, and I hope to have the honor and privilege of meeting with you again soon. I wish you and your fiancee the most blessed and magical marriage and future possible. I also want to send you something so please email me at Janice@MerlinsKIDS.org. Again, thank you so much for your heartfelt sentiments. Most people do not have your capacity to understand others’ true motivations and passion. You are a beautiful angel here on Earth to help others and I will do my best to always live up to your kind words.
Donna, have you found out what happened to the donation you made? Please let us know so we can handle things on this end. Thanks again!
Janice, what a wonderful visit we had! We drove almost 1, 120 miles from Alabama to come to the ranch and it was such a great experience. Our daughter was thrilled to meet Wyatt and is still talking about him. We are very grateful that you took the time with our family, despite your busy schedule. You made us feel like we were the only family you were working with and went out of way to evaluate every detail of our concerns. Thank you so much for listening and answering all of our questions. We can’t wait until the ranch is complete and hope that all will be generous in their gifts to this place, as it was a great blessing to us and I know it will be to lots of other families. I just can’t say enough about your concern for us. Thank you!

Life at the end of the (Autism) tunnel.
We all have special dates when events that changed our life took place so we remember them; our wedding day, the day we found out we were pregnant, the day our son was born. Now to that list we will add the day we met Janice and Jim at Merlin’s kids.
When the developmental pediatrician diagnosed our 20 month old son Sterling with ASD and a seizure disorder, we had both relief and sadness. The relief because we knew all along and now finally had found a doctor who did not dismiss our concerns and sadness because we knew that our family would forever be altered by the diagnosis. What we did not know was that it would be like living in a tunnel where you feel closed off from the outside world. We began looking for ways to help our son reach his highest potential and to have the best quality of life possible (therapy, nutrition & diet changes); this was when we heard about Autism Service Dogs. When we first heard about the dogs we were so excited to know that they existed but our excitement was quickly replaced by sadness and disappointment when we found out that the cost for one of these dogs was far more than we could afford. After contacting several dog trainers (none of which were willing to help us) we found one who told us about Merlin’s Kids.
During our visit Janice showed us how much more our son was capable of when paired with a dog (Wyatt). Within in just a short time we saw a dramatic change in Sterling’s behavior; he was calm and did not try to run away. In fact for the first time ever we were able to sit and hold him without him screaming, kicking or banging his head while trying to get free from us. Immediately, my husband and I saw life and the end of the Autism tunnel in which we had been living. The thought that we could go to a restaurant and walk in the park with or son without fear of him running off (he does not respond to his name and so far is non-verbal) thanks to the aid of a service dog – it was so emotional for us that we are still trying to process what this will mean for our family.
Janice, September 1st, 2012 is now on the official list of special days for our family thanks to you.
God Bless you!
Barbara K.
